San Jose Parents Participating Nursery School (“SJPPNS”) respects and is committed to taking your privacy seriously. Although you can browse through most of our site without giving any information about yourself, in some cases we may ask for personal information in order to provide you the services you request. It is important that you understand how we use information you may choose to provide, and how to control how that information is collected and used. If you are asked to provide personal information, we will explain the extent of its use.
 
All of the information that we collect from you is subject to this Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. By using this site, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you violate any of them, we reserve the right, without prior notice to you, to take the appropriate action we deem warranted, which may include denying you access to password-protected portions our site.

Information Collection and Use
 
Our web server is not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information about visitors. However, we do collect some information about site visits. For example, we have access to the domain names and IP addresses, but not the email addresses, of visitors, and we compile statistics that show the daily number of visitors and the daily requests we receive for particular pages or files on the site. These aggregated statistics are used internally to evaluate and improve the site, but the statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.
 
If you use the online inquiry or online application for admissions purposes, we will ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including your name and child’s name, address, phone number, current school and other admissions-related information that will be retained in our Admissions database. When you voluntarily email us, you may choose to provide us your name, address, email address and other information included on the form. We read all messages and respond to as many as practical.
 
SJPPNS will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone for any reason.
 
To the extent that you do provide us with personal information, we wish to maintain it as accurately as possible. You may update or edit your personal information at any time and as often as necessary. This can be done by emailing membership@sanjoseparents.org.
 
If for any reason you wish to be removed from the SJPPNS email lists, simply email us at membership@sanjoseparents.org.
 
Online Giving and Transactions
 
We are committed to the privacy of all our donors and to those making any kind of transaction via the SJPPNS website. Should you decide to make an online donation, payment or purchase, you will be asked to provide your name, contact information, and payment information. Payment information is used only to obtain payment from the appropriate credit card firm and to fulfill the payer’s request, and is not stored or otherwise retained by SJPPNS after the transaction is complete.
 
Content on the SJPPNS Website
 
All materials published on our site, including but not limited to written content, photographs, graphics, images, illustrations, marks, logos, sound or video clips, and animation are protected by our copyrights or trademarks. You may not modify, publish, transmit, participate in the transfer or sale of, reproduce, create derivative works of, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, or in any way exploit any of the materials or content on our website in whole or in part unless specifically noted on a web page. The logo, name and all graphics on the SJPPNS site are trademarks of San Jose Parents Participating Nursery School. Use, reproduction, copying or redistribution of trademarks, without the written permission of SJPPNS, is prohibited.

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California without giving effect to any principles or conflicts of law. If any provision of this agreement shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. Any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to this agreement and/or your use of the SJPPNS website, including the determination of the scope or applicability of this agreement to arbitrate, shall be determined by arbitration in San Jose, California, before a single arbitrator in accordance with the then current JAMS Arbitration Rules. Judgment on the Award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. This clause shall not preclude parties from seeking provisional remedies in aid of arbitration from a court of appropriate jurisdiction.
